BEYEM NEOCAL MUR is a highly breathable natural hydraulic lime (NHL) mortar for brickwork and masonry works, suitable for both building rehabilitation and new construction. Formulated with natural hydraulic lime (NHL), natural pozzolan, selected aggregates and organic additives.
BEYEM NEOCAL MUR has a natural composition and is specially suitable for rehabilitation of historic and/or protected buildings (old masonry walls). Free of Portland cement. Indoor environment quality. Classifed as A+ class according to Décret nº. 2011-321 (France). Free of radionuclides.
- Mechanical strengths corresponding to lime mortars.
- High water vapour permeability. Allows the wall to breathe.
- Great plasticity. Excellent adhesion.
- Compatible with old masonry brickworks/walls.
- Extended workability time and adjustment of pieces.
- Excellent finishing.
- Free of chlorides.
- Suitable for internal or external works.
- New construction and building rehabilitation.
- Natural bacteriostatic and natural fungistatic.
- Very low VOCs emissions.
- Radiation-free certificate.
- Mineral product.
Natural hydraulic lime (NHL) mortar for stonework, brickwork, wall repairs and other masonry works. Suitable for both building rehabilitation and new construction.
Especially suitable for rehabilitation of historic and/or protected buildings (old masonry walls) due its high compatibility with traditional systems Suitable in interior and exterior situations.
BEYEM NEOCAL MUR is suitable for:
- Stonework, ceramic bricks, brickwork, and other rehabilitation substrates.
Substrates must be clean, compact and free of substances that reduce adhesion such as dust, oil, grease and with no loose material. Substrates must submit an adequate porosity and surface roughness. Dampen substrates with water to cool down if they should be too warm, in case of wind or over absorbent substrates and wait until the thin layer of water disappears. It is a good practice curing with a fine spray of clean water 24 h after application. Curing operation is essential to avoid rapid drying and depends on the degree of porosity and surface absorption.
Do not apply on cellular concrete, gypsum-based plasters, paint, metal surfaces, plastic, surface waterproofing products or materials with low mechanical properties.
Mix manually or mechanically BEYEM NEOCAL MUR with 4,5-5,0 l per bag of clean water until a homogeneous, creamy and lump-free paste is obtained. Let the mix stand for 5 minutes before application.
Spread the mixed product with a trowel onto the substrate. Place the brick over the fresh mortar layer and press to ensure adhesion. Smooth with the same trowel.
- Always mix with the specified amount of water.
- Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
- Do not apply when there is risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
- Under extreme weather conditions (gusty winds or high temperatures) drying may occur faster than usual.
- For renovation/refurbishment works, substrates must be completely cleaned before product application, removing any salts and materials from previous works.
- Never re-mix the product once it has started to set because this causes a decrease in the properties of the mortar.
