Use
BEYEM M-15 is a masonry dry mortar, formulated with high strength cement, selected aggregates and special additives to improve plasticity and workability of mortar.
- High water retentivity.
- Great plasticity. Excellent workability.
- Suitable for interior and exterior use.
- Wide range of colours.
- Factory produced for consistency of proportioning.
Use
Laying of brickwork in walls, pillars and partition walls. Creating mortar screeds and floors. Masonry filling works. General purpose mortar for masonry works. Suitable in interior and exterior situations.
BEYEM M-15 is suitable for:
- Brickwork , blockwork, and facing brickwork.
- Cement based substrates.
Substrates must be clean, compact and free of substances that reduce adhesion such as dust, oil, grease and with no loose material. Substrates must submit an adequate porosity and surface roughness. Uneven areas must be corrected. Dampen substrates or bricks with water to cool down if they should be too warm, in case of wind or over absorbent substrates/bricks and wait until the thin layer of water disappears. It is a good practice curing with a fine spray of clean water 24 h after application.
Do not apply on cellular concrete, gypsum based plasters, paint, plastic, wood or materials with low mechanical properties.
Mix manually of mechanically BEYEM M-15 with 2,75-3,25 l per bag of clean water until a homogeneous, creamy and lump-free paste is obtained. Let the mix stand for 5 minutes before application. Spread the mixed product with a trowel onto the substrate. Place the brick over the fresh mortar layer and press to ensure adhesion. Smooth with the same trowel.
- Always mix with the specified amount of water.
- Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
- Do not apply when there is risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
- Under extreme weather conditions (gusty winds or high temperatures) drying may occur faster than usual.
- Do not re-mix product residues that have started to harden, because that causes a decrease in the properties of the mortar.
