About this product
BEYEM ADIFLEX is a multifunctional state-of-the-art additive with polymer and special organic additives. BEYEM ADIFLEX is specially designed to improve the ultimate performance of tile grout mortars.
Benefits
- Increases life of the tile joints.
- Enhnaced adhesion.
- Confers greater compactness.
- Excellent abrasion resistance.
- Decreases absorption and porosity.
- Increases flexibility.
- Higher resistance to freeze-thaw cycles.
- Easy dosing.
Use
Multifunctional additive for cementitious joints. BEYEM ADIFLEX improves the properties of grouting mortars to which it is incorporated, beyond the most demanding values contemplated in regulations, while providing new benefits to these mortars. The improvements provided by BEYEM ADIFLEX allow to obtain much more durable and versatile joints:
Increased abrasion resistance. Increased adhesion (it is possible grouting pieces of very low absorption more easily: porcelain tiles and natural stone). Increase of the compactness: it diminishes the porosity and absorption (increasing the resistance to the usual products of cleaning: oils, lye, detergents, etc.). Increased flexibility of grouting mortar, improving the performance of the tile grout in more applications and substrates (balconies, terraces, natural stone, porcelain tiles, …) and providing to the tile grout, transversal deformation category S1, increased resistance to ice-thaw cycles of grouting mortars.
Substrates
BEYEM ADIFLEX is suitable for:
- Cement based substrates.
- Cement tile adhesives.
Preparation of substrates
Substrates must be clean, compact and free of substances that reduce adhesion such as dust, oil, grease and with no loose material. Substrates must be dry and free from any rising damp. Empty joints must be dry and clean in all their length and depth. Wet the joints with clean water before application when using very porous ceramic tiles in high temperatures and in the presence of wind. Before starting the application, temporary porefiller BEYEM TAPA protects matt, porous and non-porous ceramic from possible pigment stains.
Instructions for use
Add BEYEM ADIFLEX to the grout mortar BEYEM JUNTA UNIVERSAL and dry mix both products. Add a bag of BEYEM ADIFLEX 500 grams per 5 kg of tile grout mortar. Mix the grout mortar with water until a creamy lump-free consistency (approx. 1.5 litres of water per 5 kg bag) is obtained. The paste obtained will be applied as the usual way specified on the bag or in the grout’s data sheet.
Recommendations
- Do not overdose BEYEM ADIFLEX.
- Do not apply on plastic, metal or wood.
- Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
- Do not apply when there is risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
- On hot days the flanks of the joints must be moistened with clean water to ensure proper hydration of the tile grout
- In outdoor, joins should be protected from rain until completely drying of grout mortar.
- Adhesive should normally be left for at least 24-48 hours before grouting.
- Use BEYEM DESIN to clean up stained tiles (wait at least 15 days after application). Make sure the product does not damage the tile. Do not use on grouted joints.
- If the grout is required to be completely impervious to water or chemically resistant, use BEYEM JUNTA EPOXY.

Cleaning tools
Tools can be cleaned easily with water before the product hardens. Hardened product can be remove only mechanically.
Project specification
Grouting of ceramic and porcelain tiles, marble or natural stone, must be carried out with a mould-resistant, high abrasion resistance and low water uptake tile grout mortar compliant with EN 13888 – class CG2 AW, such as Beyem Junta Universal manufactured by Rodacal Beyem company. Joints must be free from traces of adhesives and flaky parts. Use a spreader or hard rubber float to apply the joint grout and suitable sponges and clean water to clean joints on completion. Joints of ____ mm width and tiles ____ x ____ cm in size will lead to an average coverage of ≈ ____ kg/m2. Existing joints must be respected and elastic fractionizing and perimeter joints must be created. 500 gr of Beyem Adiflex will be dosed for every 5 Kg of Beyem JU.
