Beyem Unión-E

Two-component adhesive formulated with solvent-free epoxy resin that, when applied on old concrete, provides a perfect bond with fresh concrete.

Bonding of hardened concrete with fresh concrete and in concrete joints, providing joints with mechanical resistance higher than that of the concrete itself. It is also used as an adhesion layer for applying epoxy resin mortars on smooth concrete or mortars.

The useful supports for the application of BEYEM UNIÓN-E are:

• Concrete
• Conventional cement-based supports.

The aforementioned supports must be sound, clean, free of paint residues, poorly adhered parts or substances that may hinder adhesion such as dust, dirt, etc… All removable parts must be removed. Surface treatments such as waxes, oils and release agents must be removed. The substrate must have undergone hygrometric drying shrinkage and must not be damp.

Mix the two components of BEYEM UNIÓN-E, preferably with a mechanical stirrer for 2/3 minutes, until a homogeneous mass of homogeneous consistency and colour is obtained. It is essential to maintain the indicated proportion, otherwise the product will not harden correctly.
Distribute evenly over the entire surface, using a brush or roller, ensuring complete impregnation. An intimate bond must be achieved between the resin and the hardened substrate and the new concrete.

• For applications on substrates not indicated, consult the Technical Department.
• The optimum concrete pouring time (at 20°C) is between 2 and 4 hours from the time the product is applied.
• The life of the mixture is shortened as the temperature rises and the amount of product mixed increases.
• The application temperature must be between 10 and 30 ºC.
• It is mandatory to respect the mixing proportions.

BEYEM UNIÓN-E is packaged in 1 kg containers.
Storage: 12 months in closed original packaging, protected from humidity and in a covered place.

Tools and tools are easily cleaned with suitable solvents (xylene) before the product has hardened. Cured, hardened or dried product can only be removed by mechanical means.

The bonding of hardened concrete with fresh concrete will be carried out with the solvent-free two-component epoxy adhesive Beyem Union-E, from the company Rodacal Beyem. The performance will be ≈ 0.05 Kg/m2. The substrate must be clean, free of friable parts and free of humidity.
