BEYEM GROUT is a one-component, shrinkage compensated and slightly expansive fluid mortar for fillings and precision anchorages. Formulated with special cements, selected aggregates, to improve adhesion and initial and final mechanical strengths.
- Easy to mix and apply.
- High initial and final mechanical strengths.
- High adhesion to concrete, mortar or steel reinforcement.Excellent flow properties. High self-levelling and filling power.
- Free of chlorides and organic fibers.
- Very low shrinkage behaviour. Slightly expansive.
- Free of aggressive substances for concrete and steel reinforcement.
- Both internal and external use.
Anchoring of reinforcement steel bar, concrete or machinery. Reinforcement of concrete elements through formwork. Filling machinery bedplates. Fixing bolts. Filling cavities, voids, gaps and recesses in concrete. Filling by pouring under support plates ensuring perfect load transmission.
BEYEM GROUT is suitable for:
- Concrete ( floors, screeds, formworks)
Concrete must be free from dust, loose material, surface contamination and materials which reduce bond or prevent suction or wetting by anchoring and filling materials. Steel reinforcements must be free of rust, grease, oil and other adhesion impairing contaminants (Sa21/2 degree). Where necessary, concrete must be cleaned by sandblasting, high pressure water jetting or other approved mechanical methods that do not cause vibration or impact, to leave a clean and keyed surface. Rusty exposed reinforcement must be cleaned by metal brushing or sandblasting. Absorbent substrates should be previously wetted until they are saturated, preventing waterlogging, and applying the mortar once the surface has a matt appearance.
Smooth, slightly absorbent or very damaged substrates should be treated to obtain a surface with minimum guarantees of roughness and tensile strength. Minimum roughness of at least 5 mm. For more information regarding substrate preparation, refer to the recommendations provided in EN 1504-10.
Mix manually of mechanically BEYEM GROUT with 3,0-3,75 l per bag of clean water until a homogeneous, fluid and lump-free consistency is obtained. Mixing water must be between 12-15 % by dry mortar weight, depending of consistency (pourable, flowable) and mechanical strengths needed. Do not add more water to the mortar than the recommended amount and do not remix.
Pour the mixed grout into the header box/hopper ensuring continuous grout flow during the complete grouting operation to avoid trapping air. Use steel banding or chains to assist flow where necessary.
For filling under plates, an air outlet should be provided, so that air can come out easily during the filling
with the product. On large surfaces, vibrating with a rod or ramming into place with hardwood tamping tools and mallet is recommended. BEYEM GROUT can be applied in thicknesses not less than 10 mm and not more than 30 mm per layer. Finishing can be done with trowel or float as soon as the mortar has started to stiffen.
- Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
- Do not apply when there is risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
- Do not add water in excess of the recommended dosage .
- Protect the mortar applied of early dehydration, using suitable curing methods. The curing operation in humid environment is essential for at least 24 hours after application.
- This product is not recommended for surface levelling.

Storage: when stored unopened in a cool dry place, shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture.
Tools can be cleaned easily with water before the product hardens. Hardened product can be removed only mechanically.
Regeneration, regularization, fixing and anchoring of steel reinforcements, filling of machinery bedplates and filling cracks by pouring in concrete must be carried out with one-component, shrinkage compensated and slightly expansive fluid mortar for anchoring and filling compliant with EN 1504-6, such as Beyem Grout manufactured by Rodacal Beyem Company. Coverage will be ≈ 20 kg / m2 per cm of thickness.
