About this product
BEYEM TOTALFIX is a high-performance multi-purpose elastic adhesive. Silane-polymer modified, selected aggregates and state-of-the-art additives based formulation. Single-component and solvent free.
Benefits
- Volume loss free.
- Flexible and elastic.
- Solvent free.
- Single component.
- No catalyst required.
- Extended open time.
- Multipurpose.
- Interior and exterior.
- Plastic and ductile consistency.
- Non slip.
- Water insensitive.
- Distributes stresses and absorbs dynamic loads. Excellent durability.
- Does not require hazard or warning labels on the packaging.
Use
BEYEM TOTALFIX is used for high adhesion and deformability fixing of parquet, wood, natural and artificial stones, thermoacoustic insulatings boards, ceramics, porcelain stoneware, flexible stone, liner and a wide range of materials with or without absorption both in interior and exterior situations.
Substrates
BEYEM TOTALFIX allows its use on a wide variety of substrates.
Among others, it can be used on waterproofings, underfloor heating, cementitious screeds, ceramic tilings, asphalt sheets, plaster and anhydrite substrates, brick, aerated concrete, insulation panels, wood, polyester, metal, concrete, industrial mortars, paints, epoxy floorings etc … both in horizontal and vertical applications.
Preparation of substrates
Substrates must be clean, compact and free of substances that reduce adhesion such as dust, oil, grease and with no loose material. Uneven areas must be corrected with suitable smoothing and finishing products. Substrates must be free from any rising damp and have already completed the curing period of hygrometric shrinkage. On metal surfaces, in the event of the presence of oxide, it must be eliminated.
Instructions for use
BEYEM TOTALFIX is ready to use. Apply the adhesive using a notched trowel “combing” the paste onto the substrate. Use a 4.5 x 4.5 mm notched trowel or a triangular notch trowel. Tightly press the parts against the substrate.
If the adhesive container has been previously used, remove the surface film prior to applying, if such film has formed. The use of the product in a single use is recommended. For applications with heavy traffic, outdoors and where high deformability is required, the adhesive will be spread and combed onto the substrate and the pieces (DOUBLE SPREAD TECHNIQUE). It is good practice to lift an occasional tile after fixing, to verify that the required contact is being achieved. Back of the tile must be completely wet.
Recommendations
- Do not apply below 10ºC or above 30ºC.
- The combination between all types of substrates, materials and specified uses may not always be feasible.
- It is essential to consult the corresponding product technical data sheets to verify suitability and whenever in doubt, consult Rodacal Beyem’s technical department.
- To ensure the correct adhesion, apply the adhesive in such a way that it covers virtually the entire back of the coating.
- Do not apply when there is a risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
- Do not use the adhesive to correct irregularities or uneven areas.
- Leave joints between tiles with a minimum width of 2 mm.
- On floors with a surface area greater than 30 m2 , it is recommended to leave separation or sealing joints filled with a deformable material.
- On interior floorings larger than 15 m2, it is advisable to keep a free perimeter expansion joint between the floor and the wall or pillar, hidden by a skirting board (of approximately 5 mm).
- Do not use on polystyrene.

Cleaning tools
Tools can be cleaned easily with universal solvent before the product hardens. Hardened product can be remove only mechanically.
Project specification
The installation of ___________________________ on __________________ will be carried out using the multi-purpose, silane-polymer modified, elastic, single-component and solvent free adhesive Beyem TotalFix, manufactured by the company Rodacal Beyem. The substrate must be compact, free from any flaky, loose parts and must be clean and cured, having already completed the shrinkage stage. Existing joints must be respected and elastic fractionizing and perimeter joints must be created.
Health and Safety
