Beyem Thermidur F

BEYEM THERMIDUR F is a colored, extra-fine and flexible mineral coating for decorative finishing of the BEYEM ETIC system. Provides a natural waterproof finish with great design possibilities and decorative effects. It allows the application on large surfaces without working/fractionation joints.

Substrates must be clean, compact and  free of substances that reduce adhesion such as dust, oil, grease and with no loose material. Uneven areas must be corrected with suitable smoothing and finishing products. Substrates must be free from any rising damp and have already completed the curing period of hygrometric shrinkage. Dampen substrates with water  to cool down if they should be too warm, in case of wind or over absorbent substrates  and wait until the thin layer of water disappears. Do not  use on  gypsum  based plasters or paints.

Mix mechanically BEYEM THERMIDUR F with ≈ 2,20 litres  of clean water per 7 Kg product until a homogeneous, creamy and lump-free paste  is obtained. Let the mix stand for 5 minutes before application. Using a clean stainless steel trowel, apply the first coat to the dry substrate, spreading it to 1 mm thickness . Wait until the first coat has dried; the product should be dry and hard to touch. Then,  apply the second layer of the product with the trowel (maximum size of the grain), covering any rough edges from the initial layer. If the preparation of the substrate has not been adequate, apply a third layer to achieve the desired effect.  During application, a water jet should be used (without flooding the product) to work on overlapping parts,  to reduce rough edges as well as to prevent possible early desiccation especially before the finishing layers. Under no circumstances should recoats be applied on the dry product.

The finishing of the system must be carried out with BEYEM PRO H PLUS or HIDROFUGANTE LÍQUIDO JAFEP after at least 48 hours from the application of the last layer of  BEYEM THERMIFUR F.

• Do not apply on plastic, metal or wood.
• Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
• Do not apply when there is  risk of frost, rain, strong wind or direct sunlight.
• Do not apply to areas where there is a possibility of stagnant water.
• Any bumpy textured parts of the substrate should be filed before applying BEYEM THERMIDUR F to avoid scratches and imperfections.
• In hot weather conditions or in case of observing a strong absorption of water by the support, it must be wetted. On the other hand, if the substrate is saturated with water, it is essential to let it dry before proceeding with the application.
• Variations in weather conditions during application, and the application in several phases can produce changes in tone.
• Apply the product in long trowel strokes to reduce the water effect.
• Protect top edges of facade from rainwater penetration.
• Expansion joints should be included as required by the substrate and respected by all applied materials.

BEYEM THERMIDUR F is packed in 7 kg plastic pails.

Storage:  when stored unopened in a cool dry place, shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture.

Tools can be cleaned easily with water  before the product hardens. Hardened product can be remove only mechanically.

Decorative finishing of BEYEM External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS), must be carried out with extra-fine, flexible, colored mineral coating compliant with EAD 040083-00-0404 (ETE 21/0061), such as Beyem Thermidur F,  manufactured by Rodacal Beyem company. Coverage will be ≈ 1,0-2,5 kg/m². The substrate must be clean, sound, compact and dimensionally stable. Expansion joints must be respected as well as the general installation instructions of the manufacturer.
