Beyem Pro

BEYEM PRO is a primer which acts as an adhesion enhancer and surface hardener. Water formulated, extremely fine particle acrylic emulsion based product.  Single-component and solvent free.

Absorbent and non-absorbent substrate adhesion enhancer which is used prior to the application of mortars and paints. Surface hardener suitable for extremely broken up and earthy substrates. Returns the consistency and superficially hardens the substrate. Absorption leveller and regulator. Unifies surface absorption in case of non-absorbent substrates prior to the subsequent application of industrial mortars. In dilution, the BEYEM PRO acts as a surface protective varnish, hindering the ageing and degradation of these surfaces, facilitating maintenance and extending their useful life.

BEYEM PRO is suitable for:

• Concrete screeds and concrete poured on site.
• Floors with residues, floors based on ceramic coverings, artificial and natural stones, etc …
• Cement  based substrates.
• Renders.
• Renovation substrates

The abovementioned substrates must be sound, clean, free from paint residue, poorly bonded parts or substances which may hinder adherence such as dust, dirt etc… All removable parts must be taken away. Surface treatments such as waxes, oils and products for removing formwork must be removed. The substrate must have undergone the drying hygrometric shrinkage and present no signs of humidity. Whenever in doubt, perform a measurement of residual humidity using a carbide hygrometer.

Homogenize the material prior to application.

As an adhesion enhancer and surface hardener in absorbent substrates it is advisable to dilute BEYEM PRO in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 with clean water, according to the degree of absorption of the substrate.  Mix for a moment prior to use and apply using a roller, brush or dispenser gun.   Prior to overlaying a product on BEYEM PRO wait for the primer to harden superficially.

As a non-absorbent substrate adhesion enhancer, apply the product directly from the packaging. Apply a thin and uniform film using a roller, brush or dispenser gun covering the entire substrate. Then repeat the operation on the same surface in the opposite direction of the application. Prior to overlaying a product on BEYEM PRO wait for the primer to harden superficially.

As a surface protective varnish, dilute the BEYEM PRO in a 1:3 ratio with clean water. Mix for a moment prior to use and apply using a roller, brush or dispenser gun.

BEYEM PRO acts as a dirt protector in dilutions from 1:4 to 1:6 with clean water.

• For applications on unspecified substrates, consult the Technical Department.
• Do not use on substrates with strong dimensional movements.
• In wall applications, do not  overlay  excessively heavy coats.
• Do not apply thick coats of the product.  Verify retentions and avoid the formation of films.
• In case of damaging the BEYEM PRO film, it is necessary to apply a subsequent application of the product.
• After the maximum useful time to overlay the product has elapsed, 24-36 hours, it is necessary to apply another application of BEYEM PRO directly over the previous application.
• Do not apply below 5ºC or above 35ºC.

BEYEM PRO is packed in 5 Kg plastic pail.

Storage: when stored unopened in a cool dry place, shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture.

Tools can be cleaned easily with water before the product hardens. Hardened product can be remove only mechanically.

The conditioning of absorbent and non-absorbent substrates prior to the application of finishing mortars such as self-levelling mortars, fluid mortars, micro-cements, cementitious adhesives etc … will be carried out using the solvent-free acrylic single-component adhesion enhancer Beyem Pro, manufactured by the company Rodacal Beyem. The yield will be ≈ 0.1-0.2 Kg/m2. The substrate must be clean, moisture-free and free from friable parts.
